At Somma Foods, food safety is a guiding principle. We understand that our customers count on us to provide safe, wholesome food, so we only work with suppliers and processors that share our commitment to delivering the highest quality food products.

To maintain this high quality standard, Somma Foods’ Internal Food Safety and Quality Assurance team requires and ensures that all suppliers are inspected by the USDA or FDA. Additionally, suppliers must operate under a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Hazard Analysis and Risk-based Preventative Controls (HARPC) based quality program that is independently audited by third party institutions following Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) standards.

Supplier and processor programs are reviewed and approved by the Somma Foods founders on an annual basis to facilitate continuous improvement and alignment. We take a proactive, thorough approach to food safety and quality, so we can deliver safe, high quality products that meet the expectations of our customers and consumers.
